How to Cancel Your Timeshare Contract

Many travelers who go on vacation and take timeshare presentations often make the mistake of purchasing a timeshare based off the emotional high they are getting while on vacation. They normally go on the presentations because of a free gift that they are promised. The timeshare presentation was supposed to last 90 minutes, but end up lasting over 4 hours. They are never told they can cancel and when they get home and are having that feeling of buyers remorse, they find out that they could have canceled, but are now past the cancellation period. Timeshares in a Tough Economy

I have seen more posting on various question posting mediums concerning what to do with a timeshare during these extremely tough times. There has also been a variety of answers that seem to have little of no thought to them. Can You Cancel Your Timeshare?

I have been seeing a lot of postings from people on Yahoo Answers, Google, and other blogs and forums giving advice to timeshare owners concerning canceling their timeshare. The issue I have with this is that they are not asking any qualifying questions. There is no blanket yes or no answer that you can put on this question. (more…)
