Top 10 Timeshare Scams

As far as sales are concerned, the timeshare industry is like any other industry. The sales department is going to quickly find something that will give them the edge over the customer. It is simple, the better equipped the sales rep, the harder it is for the customer to say no. Additionally, the sales reps are very well trained in that the sale starts when the first “no” comes out. Qualifications Getting Tougher

I am sure you are all aware that the Timeshare industry is not as lucrative as it was this time last year and the year before. With that being said, for those who still find themselves wanting to purchase a timeshare, or upgrade your existing ownership you will find it to be more difficult to qualify. Many of the major timeshare companies carry their own paper and make the loans themselves. Until the last 6 month, it has been known that ANYONE could qualify for a loan to purchase a timeshare. Timeshare Company Upset

Just wanted to share the call that I received the other day. Out of the blue I get a call from a manager from the timeshare company I used to work for. Apparently they just found out that we started Timeshare Advocacy International and he did not like the fact that we are potentially going to show timeshare owners and potential owners that there are scams out there and they are being watched. The language was so foul that I had to quickly try to take the message off speaker phone because my family was in the room. (more…)

Timeshare Blog Articles

I encourage everyone who has an interest in timeshares, good or bad to stop going to blog articles that are only intended to sale a product. There are many blogs that have no informative value and are only intended to push a vacation package. Online vacation sites with Google advertisements are becoming the rage and unless you are intending on taking a vacation, the blog articles are only used to get more traffic. I use google alerts to research all timeshare blogs, and the time it takes to week through wasteful articles like this one adds up. (more…)
